United Methodist Women serving God’s church and community

The United Methodist Women meet each second Monday during most of the year to study God’s mission for them in the world and plan activities which serve His church and the community.

United Methodist Women’s activities throughout the year include:

• Sponsoring a Community Health Fair each fall to give area residents an opportunity to receive health information, tests and immunizations which can help them remain healthy children of God working for God in the world.

• In past years, the UMW has sponsored an annual Harvest Dinner in November.

United Methodist Women Rummage Sale raises funds for mission

• Spring Rummage Sale to raise funds to finance their projects. In 2018 the Rummage Sale was held on March 2 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on March 3 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. (2017 Pictures below. Watch for 2018 Photos)

• Provide leadership in a number of other missions of our church while offering religious education for themselves and other women in our church and throughout the Frankston-Poynor-LaRue area.

If you are a woman and not now a member of the UMW and desire to join this group, please contact the church office or attend a regularly scheduled meeting.

Come join us as we work for

the Lord and our neighbors!

A LARGE CROWD of area residents turned out in March  2017-18 to browse and buy during the Spring Rummage Sale, sponsored by the United Methodist Women, at the Family Life Center. Above are some of the 2017 pictures from the sale floor, showing the large selection of items being offered. 2018 pictures to follow. Proceeds go to the mission projects of the UMW.
